Overview
The Department of Employment and Labour, through the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), has announced 146 Client Service Officer vacancies across various Labour Centres in Gauteng. These permanent public service roles are aimed at strengthening frontline service delivery and improving access to UIF-related services for members of the public.
Client Service Officers play a critical role in ensuring that workers, employers, and beneficiaries receive accurate information and efficient assistance regarding unemployment benefits and related statutory services. Responsibilities

Provide frontline client screening and advisory services

Process applications for Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) benefits

Register and manage payment continuation forms

Capture and update client information on operational systems

Perform administrative duties in line with departmental procedures

Ensure compliance with UIF legislation, policies, and regulations

Maintain confidentiality and protect client information in line with POPIA

Deliver professional and courteous customer service at all times
Minimum Requirements

Matriculation / Grade 12 / Senior Certificate

South African citizenship or permanent residence

Basic computer literacy

Willingness to undergo on-the-job training on UIF operational systems
