📌 Overview:

The Managed People Solutions Internship Programme is crafted to develop the next generation of professionals in merchandising by providing a structured, skills-based experience in the retail sector. Over the course of 12 to 18 months, interns will receive real workplace exposure and training that aligns with their academic qualifications and career aspirations.

✅ Minimum Requirements:

• South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 28

• Possess either:

  • N6 TVET Certificate (requiring 18 months’ workplace experience), or

  • NCV Level 4 Certificate in a relevant field (12-month internship)

• Unemployed and not currently studying

• No previous formal work experience required

• Must be based in or around Goodwood, Cape Town

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to a structured professional environment

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Commitment to the full internship duration

• Merchandising and retail execution techniques

🔧 Primary Responsibilities:

• Determine and assess stock to be merchandised

• Draw stock requirements in line with store needs

• Check vintage, product quality, price tags, and shelf rotation

• Execute merchandising tasks as outlined in the cycle brief

• Provide feedback on customer concerns or product queries

• Keep updated on promotions and new product launches

• Record daily merchandising activities in systemized logs

• Execute calls and merchandising visits per the assigned schedule

• Notify Retail Sales Manager (RSM) of product shortages
