Job Description

The Logistics Clerk is responsible for managing and coordinating various warehousing and logistics functions that support manufacturing and customer delivery operations. The position requires the accurate receipt, storage, issuing, and dispatching of materials and finished goods while ensuring inventory integrity and compliance with company procedures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing logistics documentation, updating SAP records, generating invoices, preparing electronic waybills, creating Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN), managing barcoded labels, maintaining CHEP documentation, and ensuring all relevant records are properly filed. The role also involves inventory monitoring, stock reconciliation, and supporting quality assurance requirements throughout the logistics process.

Working closely with warehouse personnel, production teams, transport providers, and customers, the Logistics Clerk will help ensure products are delivered accurately, on time, and according to customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (NQF Level 4)

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a forklift operator

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a logistics, receiving, dispatching, or warehousing environment

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment advantageous

  • Basic computer literacy

  • Working knowledge of SAP systems

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work accurately under pressure

  • Good organizational and administrative skills

  • Understanding of warehouse and inventory processes

Responsibilities

  • Receive and issue local and imported store items

  • Coordinate dispatch of finished goods according to customer requirements
